A wee bit about me; I’m originally from Ireland and have lived in the UK for 26 years. I’m the eldest of five siblings, I am happily married and have two teenage boys. I also have two little bundles of love and fluff, Shih Tzu dogs who love to greet everyone to our home.
I’ve always naturally gravitated to working with people as I feel very compassionate in helping others.
My career started working with children in nursery and primary schools, Over the years I’ve actively volunteered in support groups and charitable organisations, such as The Samaritans and women’s shelters, I’ve also worked as a Chairperson for a preschool for several years. Recently in lockdown I supported adults with befriending / counselling telephone calls. I facilitated face to face and telephone sessions with children in secondary schools as a trainee counsellor.
I’ve worked with Reiki energy for 12 years and have always been fascinated with its natural and powerful healing effects. It promotes my well-being and health as it radiates healing, clarity, focus, and my self-confidence. It also enables me to provide time for ‘stillness’ to relax and listen to my body, to breath and recalibrate to focus on my dreams and follow my own path. Reiki has helped me to unlock my inner strength to move forward in times of ‘stuckness’ of stagnant energy and dis-ease.
My experience’s whilst working with others, both with Reiki and Counselling have all been individual, some seek an alternative route to support with anxiety, stress, grief, depression, relationship struggles, low self-esteem, relaxation, to name a few. I am genuinely privileged to work with all of them.
I feel that when clients allow themselves to trust the process a deep rapport and connection is established in sessions which encourages them to relax and allow their vulnerable selves to embark on a journey of letting go of whatever no longer serves them!
In addition, working as a qualified person-centred counsellor enables me to provide a trusting environment to communicate blocked emotions which encompasses a relationship depth. This activates self-growth and awareness where the process of self-healing and discovery is ignited.
Sessions are self-directed with counselling as every client connects to their own feelings at their own pace. Therefore, as a facilitator I offer a safe trusting confidential space for clients to focus on listening to their inner needs and self-care thus empowering themselves. I feel humbled to accompany people on their journeys of self-discovery and enlightenment, as clients blossom and grow to take charge and change to be their ‘best selves’.
I feel Reiki and Counselling offer two separate therapies however sometimes link and overlap yet they both complement each other. However, whichever therapy you receive I always convey you will receive your treatment with unconditional positive regard, empathy and light and love.
My ‘little sanctuary’, as some may call it, is situated in my cabin at the bottom of the garden. A private and confidential space only disturbed by the squirrels at times, as they dance on the roof as they feel the energy of the Reiki.

I had weekly counselling sessions with Aideen over the course of two months and they honestly helped me beyond words. I was in a really dark place after having a rough couple of months and the sessions helped me get back on track. I became more self aware and began to make changes to grow for the sake of my own well being. It's more than a year on now and I still smile when it hits that time of day on a Monday when we'd have our sessions. I have been receiving Angelic reiki treatments from Aideen for many years now. I always find them truly magical experiences that have a very positive effect on my health and well-being.
I remember asking her once how many treatments will I need? Her answer was 'you'll know when to come' and I always do....!
I often describe the experience as a re-wire for my brain - it's sets the reset buttons and allows me to continue to flow through life with the busy pressures that work and family bring.
I recently had my first counselling session with Aideen too. I was amazed at how she guided me to be able to reflect upon some issues that had been bothering me. I asked myself a lot of questions and I came away feeling a lot lighter mentally.
I truly value Aideen's amazing healing and I have recommended her to many friends.

Apart from knowing Aideen for several years now while we studied together to become counsellors, I have since called upon her expertise as a counsellor for myself and as a Reiki master.
If you are sat reading this wondering “should I call?”, then please pick up the phone. Even being a counsellor myself, I feel that Aideen has some extremely rare qualities, and a potential client would not be judged or steered down a path they don’t want to explore. The empathy and care not only shown by Aideen, but felt by myself is one I have experienced very little, and suspect would struggle to find anywhere else.
When sat with her in a counselling setting, I always feel heard….not just listened to, but properly ‘heard’.
The space, time and warmth given really helped me explore my own thoughts and feelings, without feeling rushed and without expectation.
Before meeting Aideen I had never tried, or really wanted to try reiki to be honest, but after 3 or 4 years of hearing little snippets from her of what it’s all about, I decided to give it a try.
WOW…. That’s all I can say. It felt quite surreal from beginning to end for me, but in ‘such’ a good way. I experienced some wonderful things, and it helped me make some sense of various things in my life, past and present, along with organising my thoughts about what I wanted for now and in the future.
I say this without bias or anything else, but for me I feel in those times, Aideen has been like a guardian angel for me and my family, allowing me to find my own natural way to peace and happiness, but I wouldn’t have been able to without the environment she provides.

I cannot recommend Reiki and especially Aideen enough
Having suffered with panic attacks and mental health issues for over 40 years I have finally found something that works and has enabled me to take control and relax
I have known Aideen personally for several years and didn't hesitate to try reiki when she offered
You will feel the negative energy flowing out of you.
Aideen has such a calming influence and radiates positivity.
After Eevery session Aideen has discussed what energy blocks which were found and disposed of. I am always amazed how accurate she is.
